Analgesic Healthcare Partners With the American Red Cross to Aid With Hurricane Matthew Relief

Tampa, Fla., (November 9, 2016) – In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, Analgesic Healthcare has partnered with the American Red Cross of Central Florida in their efforts to aid those impacted by Hurricane Matthew.

Hurricane Matthew started out as Tropical Storm Matthew and increased to a deadly Category 5 as it traveled across the Western Atlantic inflicting devastating damage in areas including Haiti, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. It then made landfall in the Southeast region of the United States on October 8, where a state of emergency was declared in several states including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Hurricane Matthew, now known as the costliest hurricane since Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and the first Category 5 since Hurricane Felix in 2007, has caused widespread damage, flooding, power outages, and death.

Both Analgesic Healthcare and the American Red Cross are aligned in their mission to help people suffering mentally, physically, and emotionally from the lingering effects of Hurricane Matthew both at home and abroad. Through the generosity of people and companies like Analgesic Healthcare, the Red Cross is able to provide people with the critical resources they need during catastrophic events. As the American Red Cross disaster teams diligently work to provide shelter, food, financial resources, and relief supplies to victims, Analgesic Healthcare is committed to making continuous financial contributions to ensure that immediate critical needs are met.

Analgesic Healthcare’s philanthropy extends beyond Hurricane Matthew. On October 25th, Major Gifts Officer for The American Red Cross of the Central Florida Region Tampa Bay Chapter, Suzanne Holmes, presented Mr. Roy Edgerton, Analgesic Healthcare CEO with three certificates for Analgesic Healthcare’s disaster relief efforts during the California Wildfires, the Louisiana Flood, and Hurricane Matthew. As a leader in home medical equipment, Analgesic Healthcare remains true to their mission to provide specialized personal rehabilitation devices. In the last decade, Analgesic Healthcare has helped over 1 million people nationally gain control over their chronic pain through the devices they provide.

“We are committed to positively shape and enrich our country and community. We deeply respect the American Red Cross for providing people with opportunities to step up and give. The outstanding reputation of the American Red Cross is the reason we are dedicated to an ongoing partnership with them as our signature charity,” said Roy Edgerton, CEO of Analgesic Healthcare.

“Thanks to the commitment and generosity of partners like Analgesic Healthcare, the Red Cross brings help and hope where it is needed most,” said Linda Jorge Carbone, CEO of the American Red Cross Central Florida Region and the Tampa Bay Chapter. “Together, we have supported thousands of people from coast to coast as they rebuild their lives after devastating disasters like hurricanes, floods and wildfires.”
